The Los Angeles fire is 42% under control thanks to the brave firefighters who risked their lives. Since the fire started it has burned 148,000 acres, 64 homes, 28 out buildings and 4 commercial properties. It took 5,000 firefighters to combat the flames. Increased humidity and the slowing winds help firefighters combat the forest fire. It is believed that the fire was started by an arsonist.
The death of two firefighters and the discovery of potential excellerents have lead the authorities to launch a homicide investigation. The arsonist could face the death penalty is found guilty.
